Bespoke Software

When customers approach us with an initial requirement, we work closely with them to analyse existing and proposed practices. We then draw up a specification for a solution which meets their exact needs. This may involve writing a new program, tailoring existing programs or purchasing off-the-shelf software. After this initial consultancy, we usually supply quotes for software on a fixed price basis so that customers know in advance exactly what the project will cost. All the software that we write includes a 3 month warranty with the option of an ongoing comprehensive maintenance contract.

Freelance Programming and Consultancy

We offer contract / freelance programming on either a fixed price or daily rate basis. The work can be performed at our own well equipped offices or on site. We provide consultancy on the same basis as freelance programming.

Software Customization

Manufacturers and consultants often ask us to extend existing systems, in many cases by providing a means of exchanging data between different programs. This often involves writing import and export routines for external data files, including industry standards such as DXF and HPGL. Alternatively a standalone program may be required to convert legacy data. Another common requirement is to write an interface to a device such as a scanner, digitizer, plotter or digital camera.

Maintenance and Support

We provide customers with maintenance and support for our systems and, optionally, for other programs that they use. When a software house no longer wishes to support their older packages we can take on the support of these for their existing customer base. We can also support orphaned software if the source code and development tools are available.

All maintenance contracts include email, fax and telephone support and free bug fixes. These are normally purchased on an annual or quarterly basis, and for packages written by us may include periodic upgrades with additional features or enhancements.

Maintenance and support are also available on a per incident basis.
